Our Team

Doctor-led.
Community-rooted.

Drip Trussville was built on a simple premise — that Trussville deserves access to the same level of medical oversight and wellness care that professional athletes and high performers have always had. Every drip, every session, every protocol starts with that.

Our Founders & Leadership

T. Daniel Smith, M.D., M.S.H.

Owner & Chief Medical Officer

Most IV therapy lounges operate without a physician on the clinical team. Drip Trussville was built differently. Dr. Daniel Smith oversees every protocol, every formula, and every clinical decision made at Drip — not as a figurehead, but as an active physician whose fingerprints are on everything we do.

Dr. Smith is a board-certified physician with fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute — one of the most respected sports medicine training programs in the country. His background spans team physician roles for professional and collegiate athletic programs, which means his framework for IV therapy isn't wellness marketing. It's the same performance and recovery science he's applied to elite athletes throughout his career.

Outside of Drip, Dr. Smith practices at Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, where he focuses on keeping athletes and active individuals performing at their best. His approach to wellness is rooted in one principle: the body performs better when it has what it needs. Drip Trussville is the infrastructure he built to deliver that at scale — for everyone in this community, not just elite performers.

Built for this
community.

Trussville is a community of people who work hard, raise families, compete, and push themselves. The question we started with was simple: why should access to physician-supervised wellness care be something you have to leave town for?

The answer is that it shouldn't. Drip Trussville exists to make the kind of targeted, medically sound recovery and wellness care that elite performers have always had available to everyone in this community — in a 30-45 minute session, with no prior appointment needed after your free intro.

Medical oversight on every visit

Every protocol, formula, and clinical decision is overseen by Dr. Smith. This isn't a wellness lounge staffed by unlicensed technicians — it's a physician-directed practice.

Licensed nurses, every session

Every IV line is started by a certified registered nurse or nurse practitioner. The same standard used in clinical settings, applied to every visit.

Community-first

Drip Trussville was built by and for this community. Its success goes back into it — and the people behind it are neighbors, not a corporate chain.

We can't wait to
take care of you.

Our nurses are incredible — every single one of them. They'll make sure you're comfortable, answer every question, and build the right session for what you're dealing with. New clients start with a free 10-minute intro. Walk-ins welcome after that.
