Weight loss that works
because it's medicine.

GLP-1 medications like Semaglutide and Tirzepatide work by mimicking hormones your gut produces after eating — signaling to your brain that you're full, slowing digestion, and reducing appetite throughout the day. This isn't willpower. It's pharmacology.

Clinical trials show patients lose an average of 15–20% of their body weight on these medications. That's not a marketing claim — it's the data from the FDA approval studies. Results depend on the medication, the dose, and how consistently the plan is followed.

At Drip Trussville, every weight loss patient is evaluated, prescribed, and monitored by our physician-led medical team. Your medication is compounded and can be shipped directly to your door or picked up at the clinic.

Not sure which to choose? Semaglutide is the standard starting point for most patients and is effective for the majority of people. Tirzepatide's dual-action mechanism produces greater average weight loss in clinical trials and may be recommended if you've tried GLP-1 medications before or have a higher weight loss goal. Our medical team will help you decide during your evaluation.
How it works
01

Medical intake evaluation

Your first visit includes a consultation with our nurse practitioner via Zoom. We review your health history, BMI, any relevant conditions, and determine which medication and starting dose is right for you. FDA guidelines require a BMI of 30+ (or 28+ with a related health condition) for eligibility.

02

Medication delivered or picked up

Once prescribed, your compounded medication is shipped directly to your door or you can pick it up at the clinic. Each dose is a once-weekly self-administered subcutaneous injection. Your nurse will walk you through exactly how to do it.

03

Ongoing check-ups and adjustments

You'll have telehealth check-ups at one, three, and six months to review your progress, manage any side effects, and adjust your dose. These are not optional — they're how we make sure the medication is working safely and effectively for you.

What's included every month

Monthly medication

Compounded Semaglutide or Tirzepatide at your prescribed dose. Cost of medication is included in your monthly price.

Telehealth check-ups

1, 3, and 6-month check-ups with our licensed provider. Dose adjustments, side effect review, and progress monitoring included.

Physician oversight

Every prescription is issued under the supervision of our physician medical director. This is a real medical program, not a wellness subscription.

No hidden costs

No insurance, deductibles, or co-pays. The $49 telehealth evaluation is the only additional cost. Labs, if needed, are billed separately.

Common questions
FDA guidelines approve these medications for adults with a BMI of 30 and above, or 28 and above with a related health condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. Our provider will assess your medical history and current health during your telehealth evaluation to confirm eligibility and choose the right medication and starting dose.
Semaglutide targets GLP-1 receptors only — it's the same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy and is effective for most patients. Tirzepatide targets both GLP-1 and GIP receptors, a dual-action mechanism that clinical trials show produces greater average weight loss — up to 20% of body weight vs. 15% for Semaglutide. Our medical team will help you choose during your evaluation.
Check-ups happen at one, three, and six months. Your provider reviews how you're responding to the medication, assesses any side effects, adjusts your dose if needed, and provides guidance on diet and exercise. These appointments are required, not optional.
This is a medically supervised prescription program, not a supplement subscription. A licensed healthcare provider reviews your health history, assesses your eligibility, writes the prescription, and takes clinical responsibility for your treatment. The $49 fee covers that professional time. It's a one-time cost at intake — ongoing check-up costs are included in your monthly plan.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal — nausea, constipation, and occasional vomiting — particularly in the early weeks as your body adjusts. These typically improve as your dose is titrated up gradually. Serious side effects are rare and our medical team reviews them with you at intake and monitors for them at check-ups.
Both options are available. Your compounded medication can be shipped directly to your door or picked up at our Trussville clinic at 133 N Chalkville Rd, Suite 1. We'll confirm your preference during your intake evaluation.
