Max Hydration
Our most complete hydration, for when water isn't cutting it.
A full liter of fluids with zinc and magnesium added. Book it after a long day in the Alabama heat, a hard workout, a trip, or a few rough days of being sick, when drinking more just isn't catching you up.
Every ingredient. Every dose.
Lactated ringers already carries sodium, potassium, calcium and chloride. Max Hydration adds the two minerals it leaves out, magnesium and zinc, so more of what sweat and being sick take out of you gets put back. Nothing is hidden in a blend.

What each ingredient does for you.
Drinking water works, but it has to get through your stomach first, and when you're already behind that's slow going. An IV puts the fluid straight into your bloodstream. Here's what each part of this bag does to help you catch up, and why it goes further than fluids alone.
1,000 mL
Plain saline is salt and water. Lactated ringers carries sodium, potassium, calcium and chloride in close to the balance your blood already has, plus lactate, which your body turns into bicarbonate to help keep your blood's acidity steady. A full liter is roughly four glasses of water, and it goes in without waiting on your stomach.
500 mg
You lose magnesium every time you sweat, and lactated ringers doesn't carry any. Your cells use magnesium to run the pump that balances sodium and potassium, which is part of how they hold on to the water you're giving them. It also supports normal muscle and nerve function, so it's the ingredient people tend to notice as a loosened feeling in tight muscles.
3 mg
Heavy sweating and stomach bugs both pull zinc out of your body. Zinc supports the normal lining of your gut, which is where the water you drink after you leave gets absorbed, and it supports normal immune function, which matters when being sick is the reason you're dried out in the first place.
Add a booster or an add-in to any drip.
Add-ins go straight into your bag. Boosters are quick intramuscular injections given during the same visit. Tell your nurse what you're after and they'll help you pick.
Here are a few great alternatives.
Questions about Max Hydration.
How long does Max Hydration take?
Most visits take about 30 to 45 min in the chair. Plan on a few extra minutes at check-in.
Can I walk in for Max Hydration?
Yes, once you have been in before. New clients start with a free 10 minute intro so a nurse can review your health history. Your intro stays on file for three years, and after that you can walk in any time we're open.
How is Max Hydration different from the Electrolyte Drip?
Both start with the same liter of lactated ringers. The Electrolyte Drip is that liter on its own, at $95. Max Hydration adds zinc and magnesium, at $159. If fluids are all you need, the Electrolyte Drip is the better buy.
Can I get Max Hydration at home?
Yes. Our mobile concierge brings the same drip to your home, office or hotel anywhere in the Birmingham area, for a $50 travel fee. It's a popular call when you're too run down to drive.
Can I add anything to it?
Yes. Add-ins go straight into your bag, and boosters are given during the same visit. Your nurse can help you choose.
Can my doctor see exactly what is in it?
Yes. Every ingredient and dose is listed on this page, so you can show it to your own doctor. You, or your doctor, can ask our nurse or doctor anything, any time. Just call us at (601) 885-3747.
